The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in the state of California aged 55.

Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.

The celebrated industry figure lost his life when his automobile collided and burst into flames on a freeway in LA on Sunday, as reported by.
