The star midfielder Operated in a forward spot out wide and put in defensive duties. Displayed glimpses of brilliance but scuffed an effort over. Replaced in the closing stages for Rogers, his rival, after receiving a caution. 7/10

The winger Had the team's best chance before halftime, his effort smartly stopped by Thomas Strakosha. With Quansah hanging back, he was forced to provide width out wide yet his deliveries from the touchline were hit and miss. Taken off with 15 to go. 6/10

Harry Kane The match-winner netting 77th and 78th strikes in an England shirt. His first a classic close-range tap-in and the second a superb headed goal having drifted away off his defender. Aged 32, his form is unwavering with the national team have every chance next summer with him up top. 8

Eberechi Eze Struggled to influence play on the left flank. Had a presentable chance when set up by Bellingham yet Strakosha made the save. Rashford had a greater effect when substituted. 5/10
