19 of the Russian's 21 championships have been earned on hard courts
A comeback the Russian player secured his initial championship for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the competition final.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has experienced a torrid season, winning just one win at the major tournaments and undergoing a setback at the US Open.
Medvedev's varied form on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serve in especial - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and eventually separating with former mentor Gilles Cervara.
Presently collaborating with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This represents his first championship following the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt since March of 2023.
Success also signifies he has secured 21 championships at twenty-one different competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my two daughters at once, so to win a trophy is particularly special," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my child her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter her name was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
His counter-punching strategy and regular outbursts on the tennis court had caused commentators to doubt if his skill to perform at the highest level was concluded.
However the player has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to come to the net and perform positively, backed up by an improved service.
The champion recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, winning four of the last five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The competitors swapped breaks in the middle set before the challenger, bidding for his maiden professional title, seized the initiative to force a final set.
Moutet rescued 4 initial break points in a competitive third set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev clinched victory with a point at the net area, with his opponent unable to manage a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
