The Secret Organization is geared up to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t unfold until season 3, and a beloved, popular member has recently been selected.

The streaming service revealed recently that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Mr. 2. This character possesses the power to morph into an perfect replica of any person they’ve made contact with with their right hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will portray a version of that role reimagined as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag queen, in the live-action show, unlike the initial comic and animated series.

The new cast member is joined by several other new cast members set to bring the organization to life, including chief Sir Crocodile, brought to life by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the lineup as the monarch of the desert kingdom.

Even though this character is a major member of Baroque Works, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the third season. Considering the next season likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this signals a major departure in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could suggest further changes to the story’s structure.

Their mix of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the role. In addition to their current animated role in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is due to premiere for its season two on March 10, 2026.
