Devoted fans of the actress are calling for that a man who breached a barricade and grabbed the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A circulating clip reveals the Australian man shoving aside photographers and lunging at Grande while the performers made its way down a yellow carpet flanked by fans.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the event by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being detained", though official papers indicated that he was scheduled to appear on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account includes recordings of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney show in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last winter.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is obviously a legal violation," commented an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user wrote.

Followers Show Disapproval Over Grande's Safety

Many supporters accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented another message on Instagram.

A number of attendees also criticised guards at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals requested online networks to remove Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In videos shared widely, Grande appeared shocked when she was touched by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of Singapore fans had lined up to greet the performers of Wicked

Hundreds of fans had assembled in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore mall, including some who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The film, to be released on 21 November, is the second of a two-part version of the acclaimed Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which revolves around the surprising relationship between two very different sorceresses.

The show itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of 2024 in the UK, and received ten award recognitions, earning several for outstanding attire and set decoration.
